Veins 03:59
Verse 1 We could go to the town where I took form Then you’d see where my veins were warmed Warmed by blood full of fire Built by flames, thick desire Chorus The flames burn the bark The wind takes the rest Peel back my skin and see me within Where I, I come from Verse 2 The town I see near mountain streams moments with you Through autumn fields, across waters blue But in my dreams the town I see Goes up in flames Chorus Verse 3 I shed the old for the new, with a jar Spreading ashe downstream so far Water washes all away Finally I’m free Chorus Bridge Let the flames rise high Burning muck and mire Chorus
2.
Spiders 03:58
Verse 1 I toss and turn in my bed These spiders they crawl In my head Since you’ve been gone, I can’t sleep Verse 2 I trip and fall down the stairs These ghosts they haunt, and they scare me Since you’ve been gone, I can’t sleep I need you here with me I need your company I need you here in my arms
3.
Verse 1 Clouds overhead are growing tall Dark are the colors and our woes But we find shelter in our empty halls Life springing up after the storm Chorus Storms bring the rain wind clears away Rushing rivers carry the pain Hail dents our growing pride You stick by my side We’ll weather the weather outside Verse 2 Winds lifting dust and tumbleweeds Drought plagues air land and sea Rain above brings reckoning Water fills the cracks and seams Chorus Verse 3 Ground shaking under feet Mud sliding through crowded trees Creatures singing in retreat This is where love grows Chorus Verse 4 Waves reaching new heights Crashing into homes on the beach Destruction is in our sights Hope for tomorrow is in reach
4.
Verse 1 The locals say you best stay ‘way People go and never return Snorts and yells near midnight Stompin howlin and screamin too Chorus Oh the ground is bare No the trees won’t grow Dead things found on the edge of the road Hoof marks, blood stains Bones and hair These are some things I found At the Devil’s stomping ground Verse 2 One night you might hear a howling dog One night you might hear a baby cry Strange shadows past the trees Fire, soot and terrible things Chorus
5.
Verse 1 I find myself lost on these New England roads Barn after barn farm after farm I don’t know what I’m searching for But it ain’t on these back roads I find myself walking on these cold nights Each breath fading like the setting sun Stillness of the rocks and the frozen streams Keep the buzzards at bay Chorus I’ll keep searching long and hard until I know what I’m searching for I’ll follow this trail till it leads me home Wherever that home may be Verse 2 I find myself staring at the passing cars wind lifts sand and debris Tossed down the winding street Like thoughts of you and of me Chorus Verse 3 I find myself floating down the flowing creek Water passing above and beneath Fish swim and light beams sink To where I’ve been and where I ain’t

Rattlesnakes 03:15
Verse 1 Lie in wait, for break of day Lay in the sun sizzlin stones Beneath, beneath my bones Where or where is all the fun Soon I’ll strike no one will know My fangs will sink into your bones Chorus When will I be free, freed from these rattles they rattle my brain When will I take flight And soar like the eagles that take my friends high When will I be free Verse 2 I see you there walking alone stride by stride I plan my next move Steps, crunch, silence oh You see me here curled in a ball fear rising fast your chest falling slow Why must we live this way Chorus Bridge Strike fast eat well and never pray One wrong step I’ll take you down This is all I’ve ever known But I want something more Chorus
8.
Verse 1 Hope for stillness Hope for silence Hope for calm in this valley of death It takes long nights It takes tired eyes To heal bloody wounds from the past Chorus Brick and mortar can’t hold these walls I’ll find you, my love Through the smoke and the ash I’ll find you, my love, Verse 2 Hope for bones Hope for skin Hope these bones rise up in their time It takes kneeling It takes dying To find life in enemy’s eyes Chorus Verse 3 Hope for breath Hope for dust Hope my lungs fill with time for your love It takes plowing It takes cracked hands To grow seeds worth sharing their fruit
9.
Verse 1 We lay on a quilt your mom made Fresh dew kisses your face We Spy a Satelite Gliding across the night sky Prechorus Your finger in my palm Tracing lines, wrinkles and poems You find a bump and stop your hand For a moment the clock stops it’s hands Chorus We could chase stars but that’s not who we are We could trace scars but that’s not who we are We could deep our toes in the milky way We could chase stars but I’d rather chase hearts Verse 2 We drive late down foggy roads Tired hands grip the wheel No end in our sights Clouds break stars overhead Prechorus Chorus

about

"This album was originally recorded in 2016 but I had no idea was I was doing with mixing. Actually because of the experience I told myself I didn't want to mix again. In the past year I've had a mixing revival and am way more interested in audio engineering. I discovered the stems on an old hard drive and became obsessed. I'm so thankful the original audio files were usable in a big way. The instrumentation is top notch, super grateful for all the talented people who contributed. I've only added a few elements to beef it up." -Stuart Ross Johnson

Originally this band was called Stuart Ross and The Temp Agency, but I've created the "Ross Hollow" brand so I've decided to released this as Ross Hollow and The Temp Agency.

Recorded in the attic of a church office building in central Vermont along the Connecticut river, we recorded this over the course of several months. The room actually had great acoustics. People described us as a mariachi jazz folk rock band .
